Terms of Sale
The following terms and conditions apply to all persons who purchase tickets to Community Cinemas. Please read them carefully.
1.0 Terms of Sale
1.1 Tickets sold by Community Cinemas are subject to the following terms and conditions as well as in respect of our COVID-19 Policy https://communitycinemas.com.au/covid-19-policy/ which all patrons are required to read before committing to any purchase and attendance at any venue:
1.2 All ticket sales are final and non-transferable. Refunds and exchanges will not be made for inadvertently booking the wrong session. Refunds will not be given for a cancellation or termination due to adverse weather conditions.
1.3 Any tickets not exchanged or otherwise by 30th June preceding the season shall be converted into a credit note for future use in future seasons. No refunds shall be applicable thereafter.
1.4 Cancellations Due To Adverse Weather: Community Cinemas is an outdoor event and is occasionally subject to adverse weather. We try to go ahead with screenings wherever possible, and do not cancel for light/intermittent/potential rain. We strongly recommend customers bring wet weather gear to screenings in case of rain (note the use of umbrellas during screenings is not permitted as it obstructs the view of other audience members). Screenings will be cancelled only if the weather poses a safety threat to patrons and staff. The decision to cancel a screening is made by the venue Night Manager on site, and can be made at any time up to or during the screening, as weather conditions are notoriously unpredictable. Patrons accept the risk that weather they consider unsatisfactory may occur on a screening night and acknowledge that tickets will not be re-validated unless a screening is officially cancelled by Community Cinemas.
Ticket holders who independently decide that potential weather conditions are unsuitable are welcome to personally transfer their e-ticketing to any other screening in the future. The instructions are provided on e-tickets or select CHANGE MY BOOKING under TICKETS/EVENTS on the website.
Community Cinemas does not provide refunds on tickets in the event of a Cancellation due to Adverse Weather. If a session is cancelled due to adverse weather, tickets are automatically revalidated for the same ticket type for any future session during that Community Cinemas season or beyond. You must retain your original tickets in order to use the information on them for another night.
When a session is cancelled, customers will receive an SMS and an email to the mobile number and email address entered when purchasing tickets online. The email will contain instructions on how to rebook for another session. Instructions on how to re-book your session are also available your e-ticket. Start the process by selecting CHANGE MY BOOKING under the heading TICKETS/EVENTS on the website. Please note that Community Cinemas Head Office does not receive advance notification of a cancellation due to adverse weather, and so are unable to advise customers of a cancellation.
In the event that a cancellation due to adverse weather occurs in the final weeks of season, and a ticket holder is unable to attend another session during that season, patrons holding paid tickets or those from redeemed gift vouchers will have their entitlement preserved for subsequent seasons. This does not apply to Complimentary Gate Admission ticket holders whose entitlement will conclude with the end of the season.
1.5 If a movie session is cancelled or terminated due to a decision by the host venue, or other occurrence outside of Community Cinemas’ direct control, e-ticket holders can transfer their ticketing to any future screening as outlined in 1.6. Tickets are subject to capacity and entry is not guaranteed.
1.7 If a movie session is cancelled or terminated due to mechanical breakdown Community Cinemas e-ticket holders can transfer their ticketing to any future screening as outlined in 1.8. Tickets are subject to capacity and entry is not guaranteed.
1.9 Volunteers working at Community Cinemas’ sites are not authorised to speak on behalf of Community Cinemas or make verbal commitments on its behalf.
1.10 Entry may be refused if tickets are damaged or defaced in any way or are not purchased from one of Community Cinemas authorised points of sale.
1.11 Community Cinemas reserves the right to charge patrons for the replacement of lost or damaged tickets or gift vouchers.
1.12 Late arrival may result in non-admittance until a suitable time during the movie.
1.13 Persons claiming tickets to a free screening do so on the understanding that they will be in attendance. Failure to notify Community Cinemas by phone call, or email to info@communitycinemas.com.au, by 5:45pm on the day of the screening may have any future claimed free tickets to any future free screening(s) cancelled without notice. No claim against Community Cinemas may be made due to costs incurred by the ticket holder resulting from such cancellation. Any such costs remain the responsibility of the ticket holder.
1.14 GST will apply to all goods and services supplied through this site.
